Campbell Maternity

Have you heard about the pregnancy glow? It is 100% a real thing and Sara is proof of this. Would you believe me if I told you it was 30 degrees during her maternity session in Wytheville Virginia? I was running around with a red face and frozen fingers while she glowed. Sara walked through frosty fields in Wytheville and looked flawless.

I had spent the morning capturing Christmas minis at the Loretto Mansion in Wytheville but I walked away from Sara’s maternity session feeling like I had drank a huge latte. The glow and joy in her family was contagious.

Sessions in the cold are never a problem for me because I can look like an abominable snowman but I always worry about my clients comfort. Sara didn’t complain once and was up for all of of the locations in Wytheville that I had scouted for her maternity session.

The focus is typical on the mother during a maternity session. But when the mother has other children those moments become my favorite. The bond between siblings is one of the purest and sweetest things I have had the pleasure to witness as a parent and it starts before the baby is even born. During maternity sessions the moments that tug at my heart are always the images where the mama is savoring the sweet snuggles and embraces from their current babies while they wait on their newest addition.

Congratulations Sara. I cannot wait to meet your baby girl next year and see Maxton take on his new role of big brother. Thank you for trusting me for your chilly maternity session in Wytheville.
